With regard to the Covid-19 Virus: If we are unable to provide the accommodation for the date of your arrival due to a national lock down or Tier restriction in our postcode area, you will receive a full refund, or be invited to postpone your visit. If you are unable to travel due to a Tier restriction in your postcode area, your £100 deposit will be retained as a voucher for a future booking with us to be used before 31.12.2022 and if your balance payment has already been paid, it will be refunded by bank transfer, or you will be invited to postpone your whole booking to a future date before 31.12.2022. If anyone in your party has symptoms of Covid-19, or has been instructed to self-isolate by Test & Trace at the time of your visit, please do not leave home. Contact us, we will do our best to assist you in respect of your booking. In that event, proof of a positive Covid-19 test or instruction from Test & Trace will be required to postpone the booking to new dates, a refund would be subject to us rebooking the dates with the terms below*. Postponement of dates to 2022 may involve a price increase.
A firm reservation is subject to receipt of the required deposit: £100 per booking. Your deposit is a commitment that you require the reserved dates and therefore, is non-refundable unless we are unable to honour the booking. The balance / full payment is required eight weeks before your arrival date. We cannot accept any responsibility for non-receipt of payment or any charges due from electronic bank transfer or card discrepancies. If the balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to retain the deposit and re-book the dates.
With the exception of a Covid Tier restriction in your postcode area clarified above. *In the event of cancellation within eight weeks of arrival / after the balance /full payment has been received, we will attempt to re-book and, if successful, a refund of 80% of the booking less deposit will be made, in view of advertising, incentive discounts and administration costs. Attempting to rebook within 4 weeks of arrival is late availability. Refund is subject to the property being rebooked. We advise visitors to have insurance.
Any occupation above the visitor amount supplied at the time of booking must be agreed. The facilities at the cottage and on the farm are purely for the use of residents. If you intend to have friends /relatives visiting whilst you are staying at the cottage, day parking must be arranged with us. No day visitor may stay overnight. Extra vehicles may not be parked on the farm without permission. All vehicles/ bicycles on the farm are parked at your own risk.A booking based on the couple’s discount is subject to the use of one bedroom and en-suite or bathroom. Whichever bedroom / bathroom or en-suite has been chosen not to be used will be closed.
Well behaved dogs or other pets are only acceptable by prior arrangement. Dogs are not to be left unattended and must be on a short lead outside of the cottage garden on the farm. Dogs and pets brought by friends and family day visitors are not allowed inside the cottage without our permission. No access to our fields is allowed without our permission.
The accommodation is rented on a non-serviced basis. If during your stay, you require a cleaning service or extra linen change, this can be provided at cost. These services must be arranged in advance. (Not available during the pandemic).
In the event of damage, however caused, compensation will be sought. We trust that visitors will leave the facilities clean, all washing up done, dishwasher empty, appliances and lights turned off and all indoor waste bins emptied according to the re-cycling instructions. If our cleaners are left to do washing up, clean appliances or other extensive cleaning for you after your departure, we will seek recompense which may include compensation for delayed take over by our next visitors. Departure must be by the time stated on your written confirmation, our cleaning team are paid hourly and will require access promptly at your departure time. We cannot accept grocery deliveries from supermarkets on behalf of visitors. Please arrange a time when you know you will be at the cottage. We ask that you do not ‘over-shop’ for your holiday. In order for us to cope with the local recycling policy, any leftover food is to be taken home or unpacked before your departure, the food waste / packaging distributed into the relevant recycling bins. The fridge/freezer and food cupboards are to be left empty on departure.
Complimentary Wi-fi / internet is offered for reasonable and legal use of our broadband connection. We cannot guarantee reception, we are in the countryside, it is not as good as many cities or the UK home counties and apparently also depends on the amount of devices being used at one time. Visitors are obliged to be aware regarding the law on downloading illegal or copyrighted material and will be responsible for any costs arising from any such illegal or copyrighted material or excessive use. Visitors should have their own virus protection. Children’s use of the wi-fi should be supervised.
Parking for one vehicle per cottage must be in the specified spaces. One extra vehicle may be parked opposite the barns on the farm where specified on the day. Access to the horses, fields and stables is not permitted unless caring for your own equine on a DIY basis. Services are not available for equines.
Left property after departure has a £10 minimum charge to be paid in advance of return for post, package or carriage. Such property will be stored for two weeks and then disposed of.
Data Protection: Your personal data is only used for the purpose of your booking with us. We do not send marketing emails or marketing material by post or telephone and do not pass details to any third party unless required by the NHS for Test & Trace purposes during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is understood that records have to be maintained solely for HMRC and Immigration purposes.
If circumstances dictate, we reserve the right to cancel a booking if necessary, in such event a full refund will be made. We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions as necessary.
